To be eligible to teach in Scotland you should have a relevant degree and a degree level teaching qualification which extends to SCQF level 9 or above and is comparable in organisation and content to the Scottish initial teaching qualification (the PGDE) which is one academic year in length and includes teaching practice.
There are a range of teaching Qualifications not Recognised in Scotland, these qualifications have been deemed by the UK National Academic Recognition Information Centre (NARIC) to be below UK Bachelor degree graduate level.

If you do not meet the eligibility criteria above, it may still be possible to offer some form of registration. There are two exemptions which may enable registration.
